The stretch multiple should be able to make a trace adjustment, so in the drive system of the drafting unit, there is often no toothed

 chain continuously variable transmission or gear transmission. If the fiber varieties produced by the combined machine are not changed

 much, the conversion gear can also be used to change the drawing multiple.

The operating speed of the combined machine is represented by the linear speed of the third draft machine roller surface, and the

 processing capacity of the combined machine refers to the total denier of the finished fiber. A draft machine usually consists of five, 

six, seven or nine draft rolls in a group. They have the same diameter and the same speed, and they are different from a set of draft

 rolls of another draft machine, and by this speed difference, the draft machine completes the stretch. Therefore, improve the holding

 force of the drawing roller on the tow, prevent slipping and ensure the stability of the drawing multiple.

The ways to increase grip power are:

(1) the tow feed drafting machine has a certain pretension before;

(2) Increase the wrapping Angle of the wire bundle on the roll or increase the friction resistance between the roll and the wire bundle, 

but too much increasing the wrapping Angle will also increase the chance of wrapping the wire bundle on the roll, which is unfavorable 

to the operation;

(3) Increase the number of rolls, at present, most of the seven rolls and nine rolls are used, and five and six roll drafting machines are

 rarely manufactured; (4) Add a press roll above or below the draft roll to prevent the tow from slipping and improve the drafting ability.
